Folder notes

Attach a note to a Folder to leave context for your teammates. A note is free text tied to the whole Folder, not to a single Line.

Everyone on the Project can read the note, and it updates in real time.

Note

You need a Folder open to add a note. See Folders, Lines, and Translations.

Add a note

1. Select one Folder. The note panel shows above the list of Lines.
2. Click the note panel to open it.
3. Write your note.
4. Press Enter to save. Press Esc to cancel.

Your note appears for everyone on the Project right away.

What to write

Use notes to pass along context that helps the whole Folder:

Use it for	Example
Scene or character context	”Maya is angry in this scene.”
Voice-over instructions	”Record all lines with a calm tone.”
Status warnings	”Pending review — do not edit.”
Links	A design doc or chat thread.

Tip
