Excel import and export
Use Excel to share work with people who don’t have Poneglyph, or to bulk-edit in a spreadsheet.
Import from Excel
Section titled “Import from Excel”Choose Import ▸ Excel, or drag an .xlsx file onto the window.
- Pick the sheet to import.
- Map each spreadsheet column to a Poneglyph column or language.
- Check the preview.
- Confirm.
Export to Excel
Section titled “Export to Excel”Choose Export ▸ Excel.
- Choose the languages to include.
- Filter the Lines if you only want some of them.
- Save the
.xlsxfile.
Round-trip a file
Section titled “Round-trip a file”A common flow is to export, edit in Excel, then re-import the same file.
Keep the id column intact. Poneglyph uses it to match each Line back to the right place. If you delete or change those values, your edits may not land where you expect.
