Quick definitions of the words you’ll see across this site and inside the app.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Branch | A named workspace inside a project. Use one to make changes without affecting the main version. |
| Database | The shared store that holds your studio’s projects and their content. |
| Filter bar | The input above the list of Lines. Type in it to narrow down what you see. |
| Folder | A container in the project tree. Folders hold Lines and other Folders. |
| Job Center | The panel that lists background tasks, such as imports, exports, and batch edits, with their progress. |
| Line | A single piece of text to localize. It lives inside a Folder. |
| Live Feed | The panel that shows who else is connected and the changes they make as they happen. |
| Manager | The role that creates projects, installs Modules, and invites people to the studio. |
| Module | An add-on that gives the app extra features. A Manager installs the ones your studio needs. |
| Notification | A short message from the app or a teammate. It appears without blocking your work. |
| Ping | A quick alert you send to a teammate to get their attention on a Line. |
| Project | A unit of work for one game or title. It groups the Folders, Lines, and Translations you work on. |
| Review | A Module for checking and approving translations before they ship. |
| Studio | Your team’s account. Everyone in your studio shares its projects and settings. |
| Studio code | The short, unique id chosen when your studio registers. It travels inside each sign-in link. |
| Sync engine | The link between Poneglyph and your game engine. It moves translations in and out of the game. |
| Translation | One Line written in one language. Each Line can have many Translations. |
| Writer | The role that edits Translations. |
