Crash reporter

When Poneglyph crashes, the crash reporter packages your logs and a minidump and offers to send them to support.

  • The Poneglyph log file for the crashed session (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Poneglyph\Logs\…json).
  • A minidump (MiniDumpNormal) of the crashed process. This is a snapshot of the program’s state — call stacks, loaded modules, recent memory — but not the contents of your translations.
  • The Poneglyph version and your operating system version.

Your logged-in nickname is included so support can match the report to your account; your password and other credentials are never sent.

The crash reporter prompts for confirmation before sending. Click Cancel to skip the send. If you’d like to silence the prompt for a specific run, launch with --no-crash-report.

To browse your crash logs locally, Help → Open log folder opens the right directory.
